On 4 February 2021, in the low vegetation area at the end of the runway at Faa’a airport, we captured and tagged the ringed pacific golden plover P05 (code written on the red flag).

The tag then showed us which sites it was using, and it appears that P05 was a home bird at the beginning. He spent most of his time between the lawns of Faaa airport and a site about 4 km to the south.

Since 23 April, we have had no news. The beacon was not sending us a location.

He was finally photographed on 25 September by Alain Petit, probably after a round trip to Alaska. Unfortunately for us, he lost his beacon. Nevertheless, he looks good!
